What actually happens on the day
A crew of two turns up for most homes up to three bedrooms, three or four for bigger houses and anything with a lot of stairs. Furniture gets wrapped before it leaves the room. Beds and dining tables come apart, and the hardware gets bagged and labelled so the same screws go back in the same bed. A three-bedroom house is a day on site. We do around 80 house and office moves a month, so the order we load in is not something we work out on your driveway.

What a house move costs in Auckland
The day you pick moves the price more than anything else you control. Two movers and a truck are $120 an hour plus GST on a Tuesday and $150 on a Friday, and three movers run $160 to $190. On top of the hours there is a callout fee from $60 that rises with distance from our North Shore depot. Because we charge for the hours the job actually takes rather than a guessed flat rate, on a bigger home we would rather come and look than be wrong in either direction.

- How much does it cost to hire movers in Auckland?
- Two movers and a truck are $120 an hour plus GST on a Tuesday and $150 on a Friday, plus a callout fee from $60 by distance. A one-bedroom flat usually lands around $300 to $400 and a three-bedroom house around $700 to $900. On anything three bedrooms or more we come and look first, because volume and access are what actually set the price.
- What is the process for booking?
- We start with a free viewing or clear phone quote. Once we have seen access, volume, and timing, you receive a written price and we lock your move date.
- How long will a typical move take?
- A two or three bedroom move is one day on site. A one-bedroom flat is usually three to four hours. If you have booked packing, the packers come the day before, so move day is just loading and driving. We put the hours and the crew size in your written quote rather than leaving it open.
- How far in advance should I book my move?
- Two weeks is ideal, and more for a Friday, a Saturday or the end of the month, which fill first. Smaller jobs we can often fit sooner. Call (021) 228 2728 and we will tell you the next crew we have free.
- Do you provide packing services?
- Yes. Packers come the day before, priced by bedroom count from $1,700 plus GST for a one-bedroom home, with cartons, paper and wrap supplied. Most people have us do the kitchen and the fragile things and handle the rest themselves, which is cheaper and works fine.
- How do you protect furniture during the move?
- Furniture is protected before it moves, with blankets, shrink wrap or mattress covers depending on the item. That is included, not an extra. Fragile things are boxed or crated. Marble and glass tops travel upright in a padded frame, never flat. Pianos get piano boards and dedicated strapping inside the truck.
- What areas do you cover?
- Daily coverage across Auckland and Hamilton, plus Waikato towns and regional North Island routes. Mixed Auckland–Waikato or very long routes are quoted individually upfront.
- Do you offer furniture disassembly and reassembly?
- Yes. Beds, dining tables, and modular office furniture are disassembled for safe transport and reassembled at delivery when needed.

Our crews are licensed and insured. We hold $2,000,000 of public liability cover and full carrier's liability, so you are covered if we damage your property or someone is injured while we work.
